Welcome to DivvyPal! We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the DivvyPal mobile application ("App") and web application.

   • Last 4 digits of Social Security Number

   Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service and may include:

   • Your Device's Internet Protocol (IP) address

   • Pages visited, time spent on pages, and access dates/times

   • Unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data

3. Information from Third-Party Social Media Services
   We allow account creation and login via:

   • Google

   • Apple
     If you register or grant access via a Third-Party Social Media Service, we may collect Personal Data associated with your account, such as your name, email address, activities, and contacts.

4. Receipt and Expense Data
   We collect data on expenses created in the App, uploaded receipt images, and receipt item details for shared or individual tracking.

5. Bank Account Data
   We collect bank transaction data imported into the App if you choose to link your bank account through Plaid or similar services.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use Cookies and similar technologies to track activities on our Service, including:

• Cookies: Small files stored on your Device.

• Web Beacons: Small electronic files that track user activity and engagement.

You can manage cookies in your browser settings. However, disabling cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

Third-Party Services

1. Plaid
   We use Plaid to connect users' bank accounts and access transaction data. Plaid collects and securely shares financial data. Refer to Plaid’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

2. Astra
   For peer-to-peer payment services, Astra processes transactions securely. Refer to Astra’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

3. Taggun
   We use Taggun for receipt scanning and OCR services. Refer to Taggun’s Privacy Policy.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely via Google Cloud Platform and Firebase. While we use industry-standard measures to safeguard data, no transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Managing and Deleting Your Personal Data

You can:

1. Access, update, or delete your information via the Account settings in the App.

2. Request data deletion by contacting us at support@divvypal.com.

Note: Certain data may be retained to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.

Children's Privacy

DivvyPal does not knowingly collect data from individuals under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with data, please contact us to have it removed.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. Significant changes will be communicated via the App. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
